Memories of Norfolk
Some of the first knitting I put up was when I was living in Little Italy. I had some left over Paton's Astra, and knew our little street of Norfolk was pretty bleak. Easy enough to fix...
It's our house in the background, with Preston's archway just out of view to the left.
Today in Yarn Forward, their discount pile included $2 Patons Astra! "Oh hello there!" I said out loud (oh my) and grabbed a selection of High Energy (seen above), Denim Mix and Paint Box Varg. They are thinner than the yarns I usually grab these days, but awesome colours to revisit!

Greyhound Niagara
Another find from Yarn Forward and Sew On was the orange Shetlands Chunky. Although a good portion of it ended up with spray catnip on it, hidden away by 2 crafty kittens... some of it ended up outside the Greyhound station in Niagara Falls.
Half price!
And one smoke for the Boy = one knit for me! Taken from the bus, rollin' out...

Home for the Holidays
Home means a trip to Frenchys, and that usually results in some good finds! This time around, three different shades of blue and a pink!
The pink really won me over because it still had it's label, and the inside of it indicated that it was a fresh new shade of 1970! I wondered briefly about the person who bought it 40 years ago, and the closet it likely sat in for... well... decades. They certainly didn't imagine the gal who would be thrilled to find it for 25¢...
Or where it would end up!
Toronto, for the record, on a brief stop-over outside the greyhound station!

More Patons Quick & Cozy in Action!
I do favour the centretown area. It's my preferred stompin'-grounds, and the knit lasts longer there than other areas. (I'll win over the Glebe sooner or later...)
